If you are ready to make a reservation, you are already at the right place. Our focus is on what we can manage and what supports our goal of providing a perfectly relaxing escape to our island and our resort. We operate our own web-booking service that offers the best rates and greatest flexibility, in a secure environment. We also offer our cottages for rent through Airbnb and on TripAdvisor, for guests who are more comfortable with those platforms. Both of these allow us to be directly in touch with you and avoid the potential for miscommunication so common when booking through a disinterested online third party (Expedia, Travelocity, and others.). We are just so much more comfortable with people, than we are with any corporation. We hope you are, too.
Availability and Suitability
Before you seek a reservation, we want to be certain we can accommodate you:
- Firefly is an adult space; we cannot accommodate children under 12 or pets of any age.
- Firefly is for relaxation; we have a two night minimum year-round.
- Firefly is delicate; we limit cottage occupancy to two people to preserve these old structures.
- Firefly prepares for each guest’s arrival; we cannot accommodate requests for same day arrival.
- Firefly is rural and rustic; we are still working to create broader accessibility in cottages and on the property.

Searching and Booking Online:
A large majority of our guests book directly with us online. Firefly Resort Cottages licensed innroad, a top-rated American hotel reservation software company, to provide reservation management for in-house and online booking directly from our website. innRoad is PCI DSS compliant and handles all transactions with point to point encryption, ensuring guest data is not accessible by malicious third parties. Booking with us through innroad assures the safest possible transaction and lowest rate.
Since the seven cottage resort is small and each cottage unique, we suggest you pick a favorite before searching. The booking engine will return available cottages for specific dates, and brief descriptions of each cottage. Search for cottages by arrival and departure dates, by clicking the image, below. (You are not asked for any personal data.)
Email Inquiries/Complex Reservations:
As amazing as the Internet has become, sometimes your plans and our limitations can make booking multiple cottages, longer stays, or accommodating special needs extra challenging online. That’s not right. You may also make a reservation request or inquiry with us directly, please send us an email including:
- Name and phone number.
- The dates you wish to book (Check in date/check out date, or check-in date and number of nights.)
- The size of your group and how does it break down? (e.g., two couples, two adults one teen, etc.)
- Any specific cottage preference/attribute? (We will respond with all available cottages.)
- Any other information (e.g., physical limitations, special occasion, oversized vehicle/trailer, etc.) that would be helpful in finding the right accommodations for you.
- (You do not need to include any payment information, we will gather that later if needed.)

Depending on the urgency and nature of your request, we will either call you back, or reply by email, usually withing a few hours.
Telephone Inquiries:
Firefly looks forward to hearing from you. Upon moving to an island with limited cell service and often finding ourselves with our guests or running around the property away from the telephone, we found the telephone wasn’t a very good way to connect, but we try.

United States Postal Service:
Yes, even “fancy, techie Seattle guys” have a regular old letter box at the Post Office downtown: P.O.B. 125. While this is a quaint and period-appropriate way to book a cottage, in these modern times it is also an incredibly ineffective way to actually secure a booking, unless you are planning, literally, years in advance. Still, we love visiting our postal friends, and we welcome love letters, fan mail, unsolicited gifts, booking inquiries for long off visits, and even a very polished and appropriate resumé and cover letter at:
