About the Cottage:
Just inside Firefly’s bamboo curtain, first of the three little Anglers’ Cottages along the southern pathway that slopes down from the front yard to the bay sits this sunny little (~ 200 ft²) couple sleeper: one queen bed with an efficiency kitchenette (small fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and sink). Coffee and small meals can be taken at a small cafe table with chairs, or outside on the shared patio. Although a small space, Papaya includes a flat screen TV with full satellite programming. The small bath has a tiled shower, sink and toilet. The queen bed has a hybrid (foam/spring) queen mattress on a poplar wood platform bed dressed in soft 100% cotton sheets and a colorful tropical quilt and ample fluffy and firm pillows, reading lamp and side table. This cottage has both air conditioning and a powerful standing Vornado room fan to circulate air around the room keeping it very comfortable.
Outside the door it’s ‘go left’ to town or ‘go right’ into the grounds through a shady garden patio area complete with big fans, cushy upholstered wicker seating and a delightful pond with waterfall to the shoreline out back where you can chill with a travel magazine or novel, or sit next to a warm chiminea fire as the night sounds surround you.
Rates:
- Papaya Cottage rents for between $91-108/night depending on day of the week, demand, and season. (Festivals excluded) Actual rates for specific dates will be quoted before booking online.
- We do not offer a weekly rate on the small cottages (Kiwi, Pineapple and Papaya), as they do not offer full cooking capability.
Details/Restrictions:
- Single or double occupancy (2 person/cottage maximum).
- Minimum guest age is 12; minimum age to book is 21.
- 2 night minimum stay
- 72-hour, penalty-free cancellation (for stays of less than 1 week)
- We cannot accommodate pets.
- All cottages are no smoking. Smoking is permitted in outdoor spaces, including decks and porches.
- Papaya Cottage is not wheelchair accessible due to tight spaces, size of bathroom and egress. More info.
