We believe a great day deserves a great start, with a great cup of coffee. Firefly Resort provides the start to a great day.

Our coffee supplier is as passionate about their coffee as we are about our place in Cedar Key! Sweetwater Organic Coffee is located in sunny Gainesville, Florida. Every morning they gather at their intergalactic headquarters on South Main Street with one primary goal in mind – to roast coffee to absolute perfection. We make our pilgrimage monthly to our friends at Sweetwater to taste their new roasts and order coffee for our guests. We alternate between single-origin coffees from Indonesia, Ethiopia, Peru and SE Asia, among others. 

Late at night, we grind, weigh, package and deliver to your door, freshly ground coffee in pre-measured paper or waxed paper bags (not foil sealed pouches or plastic) for each morning of your visit.

Our coffees are caffeinated, as nature intended, as decaf has not been a frequent enough request for us to stock. Still, we sometimes have some on hand. If decaf is your thing, please plan to bring your own decaffeinated coffee (only unflavored varieties, please!) if that would be preferable. Our only plea: Please do not make flavored coffee in our coffee makers. If that is your jam, please bring your own coffee making supplies–we are that serious about our coffee and flavorings mask our coffee’s unique characteristics. For varied tastes, we provide sweeteners, and half-and-half.
